Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) today announced that it has earned the Spartan Diamond Award for supplier excellence from Spartan Motors, Inc. This honor is granted to Spartan’s top-performing, key supply chain partners who it deems as instrumental in helping the company reach high levels of operational excellence and cost competitiveness. Dana was recognized for dedication to quality, on-time delivery, total cost control, and excellent customer support. Out of more than 1,000 suppliers, only 14 received the Spartan Diamond Award this year. Dana supplies Spartan Motors with Spicer® axles, driveshafts, and steering shafts for commercial vehicles from facilities in Henderson, Kentucky, as well as Lima, Ohio, and Sterling, Illinois. “This recognition demonstrates Dana’s commitment to providing the highest levels of performance, quality, and delivery for our customers,” said Mark Wallace, president of Dana Commercial Vehicle Driveline Technologies. “By continuing to work closely with Spartan Motors, we will carry out our longstanding, shared commitment to engineer high-quality, innovative vehicles.” The Spartan Diamond Award was presented during the company’s 14th annual supplier conference in Charlotte, Michigan.
