Location receives the Freudenberg Group’s “We All Take Care” award for its program to integrate refugees FST Kufstein The Freudenberg Sealing Technologies facility in Kufstein, Austria, has received the Freudenberg Group’s “We All Take Care” award for its social commitment. In 2015, employees at the location launched their “Embrace” refugee initiative to assist minor, unaccompanied refugees with their integration into Austrian society. In a first step, the company made its initial donation of 25,000 euro to Tiroler Soziale Dienste GmbH for the purchase of learning materials, computers and other learning and teaching aids. Then Freudenberg employees donated funds for furnishings and sports clothing, launched donation campaigns, helped the young people with homework, and taught German courses. Group activities such as a visit to the Christmas market in December or a tour of the Kufstein plant rounded out the efforts. “We are very pleased to have received this award. It honors our employees and their helpfulness, spontaneity and initiative even outside their working hours,” said Personnel Manager Marlis Wörgetter and General Manager Wolfgang Schachermayr. In 2002, the Freudenberg Group, which operates internationally, launched its company-wide “We All Take Care” initiative, which promotes projects that among others strengthen the company’s social commitment. The award is bestowed in five categories annually.
