Nordex secures orders for two Irish wind farms totaling 42.5 MW

Time:03 May,2016
Both wind farms will enter full operation in summer 2017. Nordex has secured orders for two wind farms in the South West of Ireland totalling 42.5 MW, which will enter full operation in summer 2017. Both orders include a 15-year “Premium” full-service contract, which includes maximum investment protection and reliable cost budgeting. The “Killaveenoge” Wind Farm near Drinagh in County Cork will feature ten N90/2500 turbines with a 125 m tip height for a local Irish developer. Turbine delivery is scheduled for October 2016. The seven-turbine “Coollegrean” Wind farm near Brosna in County Kerry for Element Power will also feature N90/2500 turbines but with a 115 m tip height. Turbine delivery is scheduled for November 2016. “Nordex has built business in Ireland over many years. Ireland continues to be an important market for our company, and we have a strong team on the ground there. These new orders mean that we have over 600 MW of turbines either in operation or construction,” says Patxi Landa, Nordex SE Chief Sales Officer.
